Please share a little bit about the coaching that you provide.
I’m an intuitive health and life coach. I focus on helping women who have tried “all the things” to lose weight and create peace in their mind and body. What I’ve found is that most women who have tried all these things, haven’t tried one thing – going inward and getting to know and love the person they are. We can diet and exercise all we want to but if we don’t deal with the mindset of being healthy and understanding why we have certain eating behaviors, we never really fix the problem.
We simply put a band aid over it. Losing weight is easy. We all know it takes consistent movement of our bodies and healthy eating. But there are so many times women won’t be able to keep a commitment to themselves, or they will for awhile, and then they stop and all the weight comes back. It’s not about HOW can I lose weight. It’s about WHY haven’t I been able to so far.
You mention on your site, “I help women stop dieting and start using their inner wisdom to create a happy mind and a healthy body. Or, as I like to say, BE MORE of who they truly are.” Can you provide an example of what this means or looks like in practice ?
We are spirits living in human bodies. But most of us have forgotten this. Most of us are sleep walking through life. Part of the reason my program works so well is because I have all my clients practice intentional journaling. Intentional journaling is a way for my clients to ask themselves questions and then journal the answer. Because, guess what? We already have the answers inside of us. We are divine beings.
The more we remember this, the more we trust our own inner voice, the more we are able to achieve anything we desire to achieve. My clients come to me to lose weight and find peace in their mind. Through journaling they are able to connect more with themselves and realize they are the only thing standing in the way of losing weight, or doing anything else they desire in life.
What unexpected fruits have you received as a result of your coaching work?
The one thing I love about coaching is that it has allowed me to become more of who I AM. Through helping others I have actually discovered so much more about myself and my own personal powers. And the more I learn to trust and love who I am the more I am able to show up as a more and more powerful coach.
You mention you practice meditation. Can you share how you practice meditation?
I think a lot people make meditation out to be this complicated thing. But it’s actually very simple. I’ll explain how to do it here. Sit quietly. Close your eyes. Focus on your breath. There! You are meditating! Meditation is just another way to go in. If you don’t go in, you go without. I know many struggle with quieting the mind, but the more you struggle to do this, the more obvious it is that you NEED to meditate.
If quiet meditation is too difficult for you, try using my favorite App called Insight Timer. It has many great guided meditations for all kinds of purposes. Meditation is a wonderful practice because it allows you to practice listening to your intuition. But there are many other ways to do this. Personally, I also love journaling.
What are your favorite book(s) and why?
I am currently OBSESSED with Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. If you are open minded spiritually, you will also LOVE this book. If you’re not, then you will hate it. If the latter is true for you, I would ask you to read it anyway and then look at why he content of this book triggers you so much. But the experience for me has been life changing. This book helped me to remember everything I forgot I already knew deep in my soul.
