Will You Turn To Face God?

16-18 Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him. – 2 Corinthians 3:18, The Message (MSG)

Will you turn to face God?

Let God remove the veil. What is the veil? The veil is the self-centeredness you choose instead of union with God. Let God remove this veil.

When you have removed this veil, you are now face to face with God. You are now free to gaze upon God.  You are now free to behold God.  Let His face shine directly upon your face. Feel His presence. Feel His glory. Let nothing stand between God and you.

I don’t know about you but I want God’s face to shine directly on my face. I want all of God’s glory to penetrate every part of my soul. I want to be so filled with His glory that I reflect His beauty and radiance back into the world for others to see and feel.

When my self-centeredness re-emerges, I pray that I have the wisdom and strength to ask God to once again remove my veil. Remove my veil so He and I are face to face once again.
