The Dance of Love

The Dance of Love

What goes on in those silent depths during the time of Centering Prayer is no one’s business, not even your own; it is between your innermost being and God; that place where as St. Augustine once said, “God is closer to your soul than you are yourself.” ~ Cynthia Bourgeault

I quiet my mind.

I let God gaze directly upon my innermost being.

I let God fill me with as much of His(Her) love that I am capable of absorbing.

I imagine the full force of God’s love will easily burn a hole right through me.

I trust God will fill me with the exact amount of love that He (She) knows is needed.

I am simply to accept this love and reflect this love.

I am to reflect this love to God.

I am to reflect this love to others.

I am to reflect this love to all of creation.

I have joined the dance of love with God and all of creation.

But I will only know this if I quiet myself

And listen to my innermost soul.

  2. There are those who fear God,
there are those who hate God,
there are those who want something,
rare indeed are those who love God.

    Nice to meet you.
