“I am bored with my life?”

“I am not doing the things that I want to do in all areas of my life:”

-career, personal, family, community.

I have dreams and goals, but I am afraid to show up and take action on them.

I don’t want years to pass and be disappointed when I look back on my life.

  1. Love Basil Pennington’s “Centering Prayer.” It was the first book on Centering Prayer I read 30+ years ago. Love the way he presents Centering Prayer through the teachings of the Desert Fathers and the 14th century classic on contemplative prayer ” The Cloud of Unknowing.” I think it’s still one of the best books on Centering Prayer…

  2. Just received my copy of William Meningers book The loving search for God. I read it 20 years ago from contemplative outreach member library and fell in love with this gentle monk. He started the centering prayer method, teaching clergy after reading The cloud of unknowing over 100 times. Thomas Keating and Basil Pennington made up the initial trio bringing this practice out of the monasteries and to lay people.
He has also written a very powerful book on forgiveness which eventually allowed me to let go of a painful relationship of family hurt caused by my brother-in-law. A beautiful soul and gifted writer.

    1. I met him at a weekend retreat in late 2016. He discussed St. John of the Cross and The Cloud of Unknowing. Terrific weekend retreat.
