I arise to meet you
Morning by morning
My whole being rejoices
With the thought of seeing you face to face
My spirit races
Anticipating oneness with you
My heart leaps for joy
Knowing what lies ahead
My mind is still
Yearning to hear what you will say
My will is set in the starting blocks
Ready to run with your instruction for the day
My body still waking up
Is delighted it has a part to play in the daily communion
I wait in silent meditation…
And you come
