Centering Prayer: Going Deeper

How do you go deeper in God?

Let go.

Be kind to yourself.

Be gentle with yourself.

Forgive yourself.

Get out of the way.

Think of yourself as a beginner.

Like a child, come to God with curiosity and playfulness.

Be effortless like snow gently falling to the ground.

Think of it as lying in a hammock.

Let God do all the work.

You really only have one job.

Just show up.

Let God do the rest.

Do not make it harder than it needs to be.

Do not overcomplicate Centering Prayer.

Let yourself rest in the rest of God.
