I can accomplish great things.
They are not great because of the attainment of fame, riches, or prestige.
They are great because I let God act within me.
These words from Jesus Manifesto by Leonard Sweet and Frank Viola spoke directly to me:
“He doesn’t want us to imitate Him: instead, Christ, the Unspeakable Gift, wants to live in and through us.
I know if I live my life with this in mind, I will accomplish many great things (Philippians 4:13).
More important, these things will be great because they line up with God’s will for me.
During centering prayer, I “consent to God’s presence and action within.”
During my non-centering prayer times, I let God’s presence and action within me motivate my external actions.
I then let the Spirit’s action within me during centering prayer motivate my actions in all areas of my life.
