I am not alone.
We are all connected.
All of us are connected to God.
God is at the center.
We are all spokes connected to the Divine hub.
When all spokes are connected, the wheel turns.
Beauty and miracles are created.
When we forget this, the wheel does not turn.
We are never alone.
We have God.
We have each other.
We are not meant to live lives of solitude.
We are meant to be in communion with others, family, friends, church members, co-workers, neighbors.
When we each do our part, the parts placed together make the whole.
If the parts are not placed together in community, there is no wholeness.
There is no creation.

This course looks at New Monasticism in light of traditional monasticism. We use the wisdom of the Desert Mothers and Fathers alongside the wisdom of the Celtic monks as a way to explore what a monastic vocation might look like for people today who live in the world with jobs and families.
