Centering Prayer is Like a Mini Vacation

When we enter into the depths of centering prayer, we take a mini vacation from ourselves, our anxieties, our hang-ups.

We leave all this extraneous baggage there.

It does not come with us.

We no longer need or want it.

It no longer defines us.

When we get up from our sits, we are a much lighter and freer person.

We are healed from the inside out.

During centering prayer, we open to the presence and actions of God within.

Outside of centering prayer we open to life and the actions we must take.

The being we do in centering prayer prepares us for the doing that life requires.

We are better able to discern the actions we must take.
