Do Not Be Troubled and Do Not Be Afraid

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

— John 14:27

That is what I like about centering prayer.

Centering prayer reconnects me to God who loves me and does not want me to live in fear.

At my disposal is an inner peace and calm.

I am never alone.

I sit with God and then get up and walk with God.

God partners with me as I move through the struggles and challenges of life.

God is always present.

It is I who forget this.

These centering prayer sits (God) dissolve my fear, anxiety and worries.

This is what we do with our sacred word during centering prayer.

We let go of fear, worry and anxiety.

God replaces them with wisdom, inner peace and confidence.

God infuses us with power to move forward.

Our centering prayer sits reconnect us to the infinite wisdom and infinite resources of God.
