You can handle this.
New is good.
You get to expand your awareness.
You get to do new things.
You get to meet new people.
Fear is never a reason to not move forward.
Fear means it is something you should do.
Fear means you are moving out of your comfort zone.
Fear is where you grow, learn and experience new things.
You are not alone.
God and you will partner on this.
Within you are the infinite resources of God.
Don’t ever forget this.
As you become more and more aware of your oneness with God your confidence grows.
You begin to see, do and experience amazing things.
Centering prayer has been vital to this process. I have found both of these audios over at Sounds True to be very helpful and valuable: Centering Prayer: A Training Course for Opening to the Presence of God and Centering Prayer Meditations: Effortless Contemplation to Deepen Your Experience of God.
Journaling is powerful. It complements my Centering Prayer practice. I think of it as getting down on paper what God has prayed in me. That is how I use The Monk Manual.
