“With our souls anchored in the Divine, we will find deep, unshakable security. Toughness and tenacity will be ours.”
How do you anchor your soul in the Divine?
Begin your day with a silent sit.
My silent sit practice is centering prayer.
Start with 5 minutes and work your way up to 20 minutes.
Let go and open to the presence and actions of God within.
God will pray in you what you need for just today.
Take small pauses throughout the day to reconnect and recharge with God.
I also like to read aloud a favorite scripture when I need a burst of strength, energy and confidence.
I often proclaim, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
When your interior reservoir has run dry, take another silent sit like the one that you started the day with.
I like to take my second sit in the early afternoon.
This sit helps me finish the day as strongly as I have started the day.
Do not underestimate the power of a second sit!
These silent sits feed and nourish your soul.
End your day with gratitude.
Thank God for what you accomplished and experienced today.
As you fall asleep let go and rest in the arms of Love.
These practices will help you to be anchored in God from the start through the end of the day.
