What is a calling?
It is what you will do when you let go of your fears and do what your heart tells you to do.
It is when you reveal your true self to the world.
It is not what the world tells you to be.
It is something that you enjoy.
At times it is difficult and you need to persevere.
It makes you feel alive!
It is a journey.
It does not end.
There is always more you can do.
That is what makes it so exciting.
A calling is bigger than you.
It helps others and has impact beyond yourself.
A calling should never replace your family and friends.
You need their support and encouragement and you need to support and encourage them.
Lastly, you need to take a break from your calling or you will burnout.
You need time to relax, refresh and even restart so your calling will endure.
What is your calling?
Are you doing what your heart tells you to do?

Weekly Tip: The Power of Visualization. I like to incorporate visualization into my morning centering prayer practice. I close my eyes. I visualize what I will accomplish today and in the future: completed tasks at work, editing of book, published second book, one on one time with kids, coffee with my wife, new coaching clients. I see and feel the excitement as if these things are completed. I trust that the how will be revealed as I move forward and continue to take daily action. I then let them go to God and begin my centering prayer sit. Give visualization a try. Let me know how it goes.

Enjoy a beautiful song inspired by my book, Sitting with God, written and sang by David Bradshaw. Take a listen.
