The Power of Affirmations

Affirmations are powerful.

Here are a few examples.

“I am so happy and grateful now that I complete 3-5 online courses per year.”

“I am so happy and grateful now that I go to the gym 3 times per week.”

“I am so happy and grateful now that I have finished editting my second book.”

“I am so happy and grateful now that I give my kids the one on one attention they deserve.”

Recite your affirmations in the morning, afternoon and before you go to bed.

(While you sleep your subconscious works on them.)

See and feel your affirmations as completed.

Visualize them as done.

I also like to read them to God before my centering prayer sits and let them brew with God.

I connect my mind with the Larger Mind.

I tap into the infinite wisdom and infinite resources of God.

You want to feel at peace and excited about an affirmation.

It is ok if an affirmation is outside of your comfort zone.

That is how you grow.

You want it to scare you a bit.

You want it to stretch you.

Where do I put down my affirmations?

Three places.

I write them down in my notes section of my iPhone.

I like to verbally record them on my phone so I can listen to them.

Lastly, I look online for pictures that represent my affirmations.

I stick them in an album in my iPhone.

I view them as reminders of what I want to do and accomplish.

This means I can read, listen or look at my affirmations whenever I want to.

I frequently review my affirmations, add to them, tweak them or remove them as completed.

What are your affirmations?

Weekly Tip: The Power of Action. I wrote my first book, Sitting with God, on Saturday mornings. I did not want to take time away from my wife and kids. I disciplined myself to get up at 5:30 am, drive to the local Starbucks and write from 6 am to 10 am. I am taking a different approach with my second book. I wrote the first draft 500 to 1000 words a sit. At about 40,000 words, I stopped. I am now in edit mode. I am editing the book one chapter at time. I encourage you to just take action one or more times per week on whatever your goal is. Small actions over time will lead to the accomplishment of your goal.  Reach out here
