Gratitude can instantly shift your mood.
When you feel down and frustrated, think about the things you are grateful for: friends, family, the blue sky, your job, meals, your dog or cat, a novel, a movie.
The possibilities are endless.
Before I go to bed, I like to drop to my knees and reflect back on the day and thank God for all the things that I experienced today: French press coffee, productive day at work, walk with my wife, dinner with my family.
I keep going till I think I am done.
I want gratitude to be the last thing on my mind as I fall asleep.
When I awake in the morning I thank God in advance for the great, productive and abundant day that I will have.
Keep the gratitude going!

Weekly Tip: The Power of Asking for Help. You can do life alone or you can ask for help. I look back at my life and reflect on some of the things I have accomplished. They happened because I asked for help. Amos Smith asked me to write a book. I accepted his offer to mentor me through the book writing process. I was on a zoom call in early 2020. I asked if anyone on the call could help me navigate the book publishing space. I had written a book and wanted to publish it. The senior editor of Anamchara Books was at this call. We spoke after the zoom call, I sent her my proposal and a few weeks later was offered a contract. In early 2023 I was ready to look for a new remote job. I reached out to peers I knew at other firms and setup calls to ask questions. In May I accepted a new remote position. Don’t do life alone. Ask for help. And if someone asks you for help, help them. “Our most precious gift is our brain.
It is what allows us to learn, love, think, create and even to experience joy. It is the gateway to our emotions, to our capacity for deeply experiencing life, to our ability to have lasting intimacy. It allows us to innovate, grow and accomplish.
Yet few of us realize that, by applying a handful of practical methods, we can enhance our brain and supercharge our ability to learn.” -Mark Hyman, MD, Foreword
