Are You Asking God Enough Questions?

🙏 Are You Asking God Enough Questions?

Do you ask God questions throughout your day?
I’ll be honest—I don’t do this as often as I could.

I begin my day with centering prayer, sitting in silence with God.
Then I rise and do my best to partner with God as I move through the day. But I’ve come to realize something:
I’m not asking God enough questions along the way.

I trust God’s presence. I believe God is with me.
But still, I often forget to pause and ask.

Here are a few questions I now realize I’ve been missing:

  • What action do I need to take on this matter?
  • Is there a better step than the one I’m currently taking?
  • Lord, I need Your help. I don’t know what to do.
  • How can I best support my son or daughter today?
  • Help me edit the second draft of my book.
  • What do You want me to share in my weekly newsletter and post?

Simple. Honest. Direct.

These are the kinds of questions I can—and should—bring to God more often.
Because here’s the truth:
God loves me. God wants to partner with me.
Why wouldn’t I turn to the One who offers infinite wisdom, guidance, and peace?

Now it’s your turn.

✨ What questions do you need to start asking God regularly?

Take a quiet moment today. Ask. Listen.
You don’t need perfect words. You just need a willing heart.

P.S. — One tool that you might find helpful for staying prayerful and reflective throughout the day is the Monk Manual. It blends the structure of a planner with the soul of a monk—great for asking the right questions and staying grounded in what matters most.
