What Is The Resurrection?

What is the resurrection? What does it mean to me? How does it change how I conduct myself?

What do I need to resurrect?

In a previous post I talked about what needs to die. I mentioned that when I am acting like the below that these parts of me need to die.

Selfish
Impatient
Greedy
Jealous
Nasty
Gossipy
Judging
Quick tempered
Unloving

When these die, I need to resurrect in their place:

Selflessness
Patience
Generosity
Trust
Compassion
Kindness
Tolerance
Joy
Love

What is the resurrection?

It is a God asking me what parts of me need to die. It is a God asking me what parts of me do I need to resurrect on a daily basis. It is a God who does not force any of this upon me. It is a God who hopes I realize that in the end forgiveness and love bring resurrection. It is a God who will never stop loving me. It is a God who will never stop forgiving me. They are the keys to resurrection.
