God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
—2 TIMOTHY 1:7
I love this!
I need to remind myself of this on a daily basis.
This is who I am.
This is who you are.
Fear, worry and anxiety cannot run my life.
When I discern the person God wants me to be and the actions I must take, I must move forward.
Within me is an amazing power.
What is this amazing power?
It is the infinite resources, infinite wisdom and infinite power of God!
What else is within me?
Within me is the love of God.
As Henri Nouwen reminded us, we are the beloved of God.
Or as I once heard William Meninger say, “God is going to love you and that is it!”
Lastly, when I remain connected to God, my mind is sound.
My daily practices to maintain my sound mind include: centering prayer, visualization, affirmations, journaling and gratitude.
Do you believe that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind?
I help pastors, priests and other clergy create a long term sustainable centering prayer practice. This is vital! The important work you do can be physically and mentally draining. The time you take to sit with God will reset, refresh and reinvigorate your soul. You need this time so you do not burn out. Our sessions are a safe place for you to release burdens that you are not meant to carry alone. Reach out to explore working with me.
Setup a 30-minute exploration call with me. How do you want to transform your life? What is your purpose? What impossible goal do you want to accomplish? What limiting beliefs do you want to break through? Imagine we speak again in one year, what amazing results will you share with me? Reach out here.

Here are some suggestions to get you on your way. Smile and say hi to a person when you take a walk. Buy a small gift card for a friend or relative at their favorite local coffee shop or bakery. Sponsor a child during the Holiday season. Drop off food at a local food pantry. Give a larger than normal tip to your waitress/waiter. Be creative and have fun with this.
