What does it mean to apprentice with Jesus?

What does it mean to apprentice with Jesus?

It means to follow him.

Do as he did.

What did he do?

Jesus loved God.

Jesus spent time with God.

He often went off to pray in the morning, during the day and or at night.

We need to spend time with God.

This means we let go of all other things: our cell phone, our tablets, books, tv shows, our agenda, yes even other people.

We open to God’s presence during this time.

We can pray verbally to God.

We can sit in the silence of centering prayer.

We can journal and ask God to reveal to us on the typed or written pages what He wants us to become more aware of.

Jesus never seemed to be in a hurry.

We do not need to be in a hurry.

That is probably how he got so much done.

That is how we can get so much more done.

Jesus knew where to place his focus.

Jesus slowed down and focused on loving, helping, serving and healing people.
