Am I persistent in my prayer?
Scripture is filled with reminders that persistent prayer matters.
God and I can make a great team.
My persistence in prayer, combined with my willingness to act, forms a powerful partnership.
I can try to do life alone, or I can choose to walk with God.
For me, persistent prayer includes both silent prayer and verbal prayer. Life simply goes better when I practice both.
In silence, I sit with God and let God pray in me.
In silence, I learn to listen, really listen, to what He wants to say.
When I journal, I discern what God has planted within me: the nudges, the invitations, the actions He’s asking me to take.
And during my verbal prayer, I lift up what’s on my heart:
- Guidance
- Wisdom
- Next steps
- Healing
- Transformation
The balance of silent prayer and verbal prayer is essential. I need both!
Yet I sometimes forget the power of prayer.
I sometimes forget to be persistent.
How about you, are you persistent in your prayer?
