There are two approaches to Jesus.
I have been writing about the Jesus of experience—His Presence that we experience in prayer, and I think most intimately in silent prayer.
Then there is the Jesus of knowledge—what we know about Jesus intellectually through reading the New Testament, studying the historical Jesus, and so on.
Both are important; the Jesus of faith and of experience on the one hand, and the Jesus of history and knowledge on the other.
In this book I write about both aspects, which for me form a seamless whole.
