Don’t Underestimate the Power of a Second Sit

Do not underestimate the power of an afternoon silent sit.

I work from home, and many days are full.

When things get busy, I’ve found I don’t need less silence, I need more.

That’s why I’ve made a simple commitment: a second sit each day, at least 20 minutes.

What I notice is consistent.

I return to my work with more rest, a quiet inner calm, renewed energy, and a deeper confidence.

And when I look back at the end of the day, I’m often surprised by how much was accomplished.

Not from pushing harder. But from being more grounded.

During these sits, God provides exactly what I need.

My role is not to force or figure everything out. My role is to trust God.

It’s easy to think, “I don’t have time for this.”

But the opposite is true.

This time with God has a way of giving time back.

So don’t rush it. Don’t shorten it.

Let it be what it is.
