Do not cease seeking!

I read this in The Quantum Sayings of Jesus: Decoding the Lost Gospel of Thomas by Keith Giles.

Saying 2

Jesus said, “Let him who seeks not cease seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will reign over the all.”

I need to slow down.

I

mean

really

slow

down.

Open my heart.

Let these sayings soak in.

This might mean I ponder upon them for days.

It might mean I recite them before my centering prayer sit and let them brew with God while I sit.

Perhaps God will pray in me during my centering prayer sit the insight I best need at this present time from these sayings.

I find these questions from the book very helpful on this front:

“Do you have this sense of the impenetrable mystery of God within your heart?”

“Are you overwhelmed with the transcendent majesty of the Divine?”

“When you think of God, do you imagine a Being whose very nature is too marvelous for our minds to contain?”

My job as saying 2 says is to not cease seeking.

And so I shall.

I am in no rush on this journey of seeking.

I will let it naturally evolve and trust my inner nudges.

I will enjoy the path it takes me on…..

Weekly Tip: The Power of One Goal: Do you have too many goals? Sometimes I do. What then happens? Nothing. Slow progress. I often need to remind myself to pick the highest priority one. Set the others aside. Focus on the one. Finish it. Then come back to the ones I set aside and pick the one that is now of highest priority. Then focus on this one. Repeat this process.
