Are You Acting on Your True Self?

Are you acting on your true self?

Who is your true self?

It is the person God wishes you to be and the actions God wants you to take.

Some are short-term actions.

Some are long-term actions.

How do you know what these actions are?

A practice such as centering prayer can help you discover your true self.

During centering prayer, we let go of our engaged thoughts and emotions and come back to the present moment.

These thoughts might include:

I am too old or too young to try that.

I do not have the right skill set.

I am not confident in myself.

This simply scares me, so I will not try it.

These are just thoughts.

They sit atop your true self and can stop you from meeting your true self and taking the next step.

You do not need to know all the steps.

You simply need to take the next step.

You gain clarity as you take action.

If you take no action, nothing happens.

So I come back to my original question:

Are you acting on your true self?

What is one small step you can take today?

Grateful you are here,

Rich
