When I Feel Anxious, I Return to These Words

When I feel anxious, I like to do the following:

I lie down.

I close my eyes.

I feed my subconscious kind, gentle, and powerful words while opening myself to God.

You can speak the words aloud or recite them interiorly.

I recite them interiorly.

Peace.

Love.

Calm.

Joy.

Serve.

Empathy.

Compassion.

Resilient.

Whole.

These words remind me of how God sees me.

I can let go of the negative words and anxious thoughts.

They are not who I am.

They are not how God sees me.

God loves me unconditionally.

God is present with me, even when I feel anxious.

I do not need to judge myself for feeling this way.

I can rest.

I can breathe.

I can gently return to God.

Try this practice for yourself.

Choose a word you need today.

Repeat it slowly.

Allow it to settle within you.

What word do you most need to hear today?

Share it in the comments. I would love to hear from you.

Grateful you are here,

Rich
