What Do You Do When Work Becomes Too Busy?

Work has become very busy.

My need to do list keeps growing.

Each day I look at my list and pick the 3-5 must do’s.

Like the sacred word used in Centering Prayer, I let go of the tasks that do not require my attention today.

Guess what else has helped?

I have added a third Centering Prayer sit.

My first sit is when I awake.

It is the first thing I do before I begin my day.

I need this sit!

I love to begin my day with a silent sit!

My second sit is right before lunch.

I eat a late lunch so it is usually around 1 pm.

My recently added third sit is at 3 or 4 pm.

A few years ago work was very busy and stressful, so I added a third sit for a few months.

Life right now is telling me I again need this third sit.

So third sit it is!

It helps me to let go and then open to and focus on the tasks I need to do today.

When life tells me I no longer need this third sit, I will let it go.

Listen to what your life tells you.

If you need to temporarily add an extra sit, do it!
